How To Clean The Air In Your Bedroom

Good health is impossible to achieve when you are breathing polluted indoor air. But if you take the following steps you can ensure that your air is clean and that your family is enjoying the same fresh air, whether you are inside or out. There are several ways to clean the air in your bedroom; buy an air humidifier, clean the dust in surrounding areas, and rearrange your bedroom. Everything in your room should be clean.

First, the number one thing is to clean under your bed. You never know what dirt has been building up. Another easy solution is to just open the window. When you want to really deep clean your room, ask yourself how long it has been since the last time you cleaned it. If you can’t even think of the answer, then it’s been too long. There are many ways to really clean your room and ensure that you have cleaned the air in your bedroom by following these steps.

To clean the air in your room, first go through all your things and dust all the furniture, then any little pieces (decorations, trinkets, etc.), and at last the ceiling fan if you have one. Second, wipe down the walls and ceilings. Use a dry cloth and spray the area with a surface cleaner solution. These steps should make your air fresher and cleaner already. After you have done all that, get rid of the clutter. If you don’t have room for it, then it shouldn’t’t be in your bedroom. That is a cardinal rule for most people. When in doubt, clutter is your worst enemy because it can cause dust build up. Then, wash your bedding – few things will improve the quality of your air like fresh sheets and a clean comforter. After all that movement, you want to wait a little bit before you vacuum. Wait at least one hour so that the dust can settle. Vacuum the floors thoroughly – this will ensure that you picked up those unwanted cobwebs and dust bunnies. Then, spray carpet cleaner and an air freshener.

You never know what you are bringing into your home just by opening the door. If you suffer from asthma or allergies, the air in your home or office could be the cause of your problems. EPA studies of human exposure to air pollutants indicate that indoor levels of pollutants may be 2-5 times higher than outdoor levels. To decrease this amount, you should dust and clean your home on a regular basis. Buying an air purifier can also be a great help. Many can clean the air at a 95% effective rate. Symptoms of health problems caused by biological pollutants include sneezing, watery eyes, coughing, shortness of breath, dizziness, fever, lethargy, sleep disorders and digestive problems.  If you buy an air purifier and clean your room on a regular basis, you wouldn’t have to worry about the quality of your air.
